Custom Journal/Sketchbook Build
Two Day Workshop

I get it: you want it how you want it. I know I do!
That’s why I like to make my own custom journals/sketchbooks. From the covers to what lurks within, you can make your journal your own.
Join me for this two-day workshop where we’ll make a journal from the ground up!
Topics covered will include:
·
Surface prep – what you make your book with matters!
·
Making collage papers – We’ll explore various techniques to create a stash of collage papers for your book, including altering preprinted papers, coffee and tea staining, gel printing, freezer paper, stamping techniques
·
Mark making – use of items other than paint brushes to apply paint, including caps, corks, sponges, fingers…
·
Layering – Layering is integral to the process. Prep, collage, paint, stamp, stencil, repeat…
